Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has emphasized the importance of unity and regional integration in Nigeria.
During a courtesy call by the Board of Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, the governor highlighted the need for leaders to work together to address the country’s challenges, particularly in the areas of poverty, security, and education.
Governor Bala Mohammed reflected on the importance of learning from the past, noted that the legacy of Nigeria’s past leaders, such as Ahmadu Bello, should be built upon to promote unity and development.
The governor emphasized the need for leaders to be guided by principles and to prioritize the interests of the people.
He stressed that the country’s diversity should be celebrated, but unity is essential for progress, adding that the trust deficit between the government and the people is a significant obstacle to development, and efforts should be made to bridge this gap.
