Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has sworn in eight new special advisers, tasking them to bring their expertise and experience to bear in governance.
The governor emphasized that the special advisers should see their appointment as a challenge and an opportunity to prove themselves in their respective areas of responsibility.
Governor Mohammed noted that four of the five commissioners who were recently dropped have been re-appointed as special advisers, demonstrating his commitment to retaining competent individuals in his administration and encouraged the new them to work closely with commissioners and other principal offices of government to achieve the set goals of the administration.
The governor also reminded the special advisers that they will have access to government funds and are expected to manage resources prudently, ensuring accountability and transparency in their dealings and cautioned them to avoid misusing their positions for personal gain and to maintain high moral standards in their official and personal conduct.
Governor Mohammed emphasized the importance of collaboration between ministries, departments, and agencies, as well as between special advisers and commissioners.
The newly appointed Special Advisers are Sanusi Khalifa – Special Adviser on Solid Minerals, Haladu Ayuba – Special Adviser on Societal Reorientation (Dambam LGA), Jidauna Tula – Special Adviser on Legal Matters (Bogoro LGA) and Adamu Bello – Special Adviser on Commerce and Industries (Giade LGA).
Others are Danladi Mohammed Danbaba – Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs (Bauchi LGA), Sani Mohammed Burra – Special Adviser on State/National Assembly Matters (Ningi LGA), Yakub Ibrahim Hamza – Special Adviser on Higher Education (Darazo LGA) and Shitu Zaki – Special Adviser on Political Matters (Zaki LGA).
