Gov Bala Mohammed Cautions Bauchi Pilgrims on Compliance and Safety During 2024 Christian Pilgrimage

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has advised the state’s contingents for 2024 Christian pilgrimage to respect the laws of their host countries and remain vigilant amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

Speaking during a farewell ceremony at the Government House Bauchi, the governor urged the pilgrims to consider the journey a privilege to seek for spiritual growth and pray for peace, development, and prosperity in the State and Nigeria as a whole.

He also tasked pilgrimage officials with ensuring proper guidance and support for the pilgrims throughout the journey.

The Governor announced a donation of one hundred dollars to each pilgrim in addition to their Basic Travel Allowance as a gesture of support.

In their remarks, the Executive Secretary of the State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board Mr. Ibrahim Gwallang and the team leader, Engr. Joshua Titus Sanga commended the governor for his commitment to religious harmony and equitable treatment of all faiths and on his counter part to emulate.

Similarly, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Bauchi State Chapter Reverend Abraham Damina encouraged the pilgrims to represent the state positively during their time in the Holy Land.

Radio Nigeria reports that all one hundred and seventy six pilgrims participating in the pilgrimage were fully sponsored by the State Government.
