Governor Bala Mohammed has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting all religious groups in Bauchi State.
This pledge came after he was honored by the Qadriyya Movement, in collaboration with the Association for the Revival of Islamic Heritage of Ibn Fodio, for his contributions to the growth and development of Islam in Nigeria.
The award recognizes Governor Mohammed’s tremendous support for Islamic propagation and development in the state.
He received the award alongside the Emirs of Bauchi, Katagum, Misau, Jamaare, Ningi, and Dass, at the association’s annual lecture and visitation on the life and times of Mujaddadi Shehu Usman Dan Fodio.
Khalifa Sheikh Karibullah Nasir Kabara, spiritual leader of the Qadriyya sect in Africa, praised Governor Mohammed’s contributions to Islam, urging him to see the award as a call to service.
He added that Governor Mohammed’s commitment to supporting religious groups is a testament to his administration’s inclusive approach to governance.
Governor Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the recognition, emphasizing the crucial role of religious leaders in reviving moral values in society.
The event featured presentations by Dr. Mohammed Mujitaba Abdulkadir Jahun and Mal Mustapha Baba Ilelah on the life and times of Mujaddadi Shehu Usman Dan Fodio Highlighting the importance of preserving Islamic heritage and promoting interfaith understanding.
